Crouch, who counts QPR, Tottenham, Southampton and Liverpool among his former clubs, celebrated his 38th birthday on Wednesday.

No player has scored more headed goals in the division than the six foot seven striker who has also played 42 games for England, scoring a goal every other game.

King has made 379 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes in more than a decade at the club, helping them to their stunning Premier League title triumph in 2015/16. Peter Crouch has featured in 23 of the Potters' game this season, with 21 one those appearances coming off the bench.

Crouch is the latest former England global to sign for Burnley, joining Aaron Lennon and Joe Hart at the club.

"The main thing for me is having motivated people".

"I scored eight Champions League goals that season and we deserved to be in that final, but it wasn't to be".

"We know he's a good character and he still has a desire".

The Burnley Express reported that the lanky former-England striker will feature as a sweetener in Stoke's proposed £8 million deal for Sam Vokes, who appeared to say goodbye to his current club at full time at Old Trafford on Tuesday night following their 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

He could come in very handy for Sean Dyche's team, who will be desperately trying to engineer a little more room between their own hindquarters and the relegation zone over the next four months.

Vokes has scored three goals in 20 Premier League outings this term, 10 of which have been starts.

Sam Vokes admits it was time to leave Turf Moor after nearly seven years of success.

You can see how great the squad is here and it is a challenge I am really looking forward to getting stuck into.

"It was also a time when I was England's centre-forward and I scored 11 goals for England in 2006 to highlight that I was doing something right at global level as well".
