Naby Keita still adapting to life at Liverpool, says Klopp

Hoever is only 16-years-old, but Klopp is thinking about including a clutch of highly rated Academy grads in the team and the Dutchman could make the grade.

"He's one for the future, of course".

"From my point of view we were never on a level with City since I came in", said Klopp.

The Reds were hit by injury to two of their four first team central defenders in December, with Joe Gomez and Joel Matip ruled out for six weeks; leaving only Virgil Van Dijk and Dejan Lovren available for selection.

"Tottenham was a fantastic game of him without thinking too much, and then we made a change I think around the PSG game and the boys have to deal with it".

"He's an incredible, confident, young fella and he's really a good player on top". He has learned a lot now, he has improved many things and one day he will make his debut. But in training everything is good, when he came on everything was good so far, so now he is ready to take these little steps. I don't know (whether he will be involved for Wolves). With Nathaniel Clyne loaned out and Trent Alexander-Arnold in need of a rest, it could be Hoever is given a chance, as hinted by Klopp recently. In that age group you grow physically and it's really cool, and on the other hand side you adapt to the quality of the other players.

"I can tell you it is a good opportunity for all the players", added Klopp. These boys are constantly in our training; I've had them in training with us since February a year ago I think, when the transfer window closed. "You can always keep a player but to keep him in the right shape and with the right amount of confidence that's not always easy".

The German singled out Curtis Jones and Camacho, praising the pair over their progress and development.

"It's very exciting for them and for us as well", Klopp said. Joël is maybe a bit closer, I'm not sure, but hopefully he moves completely normal. But then losing narrowly to the likes of Chelsea, PSG and Napoli isn't really a concern, especially when the League Cup would have been low on the club's priorities this season and they still achieved their aim of qualifying for the Champions League knock-out phase.
