However, Brooks' agent, Wallace Prather, and the Bulls are working on a new destination for his client, leagues sources told The Athletic's Shams Charania.

The Chicago Bulls have traded forward Justin Holiday to the Memphis Grizzlies for guard MarShon Brooks and guard/forward Wayne Selden Jr., as well as the Grizzlies' 2019 and 2020 second-round picks.

In mid-December, the Grizzlies thought they had a three-team deal in place that would have sent Brooks to the Suns.

He has averaged 7.9 points and 2.8 rebounds in 313 career games. Brooks, a five-year veteran, has only played 13.3 minutes per game for Memphis this season. Over his National Basketball Association career, Selden has averaged 7.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 17.1 minutes per game. He's averaging 11.6 points and shooting 35.9 percent on 3-pointers this season.

The Bulls are still shopping Jabari Parker and Robin Lopez ahead of the February 7 trade deadline. Parker has fallen out of the playing rotation despite signing a two-year, $40 million deal with the club in July. In a related move, the Bulls also waived guard Cameron Payne. Holiday started all 38 games in which he appeared for the Bulls prior to the trade.
