Ariana Grande, Childish Gambino and Tame Impala are set to headline.

YouTube is fully on board with Coachella's fully fledged plan to live-stream both weekends of their 2019 festival.

The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival have officially announced their 2019 lineup.

Other acts on the bill include Solange Knowles, Janelle Monae, The 1975, Diplo, J Balvin, Khalid, Kacey Musgraves, Wiz Khalifa, Kid Cudi and Jaden Smith.

Once a year, music artists from across all genres and fans from all over the world make their pilgrimage to Coachella as the premiere concert experience.

A source slammed the festival's staging as "archaic", adding: "It's the same type of stage on which Shakespeare's works were performed hundreds of years ago".

Coachella takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California and runs over two weekends, April 12-14 and April 19-21.

Meanwhile, Tame Impala's Kevin Parker - who's spent the years since their 2015 album Currents collaborating with Rihanna, Travis Scott, and Kanye West - teased "new sounds" for the group on social media.

Festival passes will go on sale this Friday (January 4) at 11am PT. According to TMZ, Kanye didn't want to perform on a traditional stage because it was "artistically limiting".
