Burned to a Krisp - US police mourn lost doughnut truck

Police in Lexington, Kentucky are in mourning, after a doughnut truck caught fire as it was passing through the town.

The driver of a Krispy Kreme doughnut truck noticed his vehicle was smoking on New Year's Eve, so he called 911.

"No words", the officers wrote.

"No words" as USA police find some humour after an empty doughnut truck caught fire. The post was accompanied by the comment, "No words".

Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.

The tweet even got responses from other police departments sharing their condolences.

"We're thinking of you during this hard time...and have more doughnuts on the way!" the company tweeted Tuesday.
