Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's managerial reign at Old Trafford has started off on the right foot, with 2 convincing wins in 2 games.

Paul Pogba says Manchester United players are "enjoying themselves" amid interim coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's flawless start and feels they are "coming back" after their underwhelming beginning to the season. The French global wasn't part of the matchday squad which defeated Huddersfield Town 3-1 in what was Solskjaer's first match in charge at Old Trafford.

The midfielder showed just how much he's enjoying himself by celebrating his first goal with a playful dance, shimmying his hips with arms folded across his stomach - a move that TV cameras revealed he had been practicing on the pitch before kickoff. Keeping with the tradition of the club, the Norwegian has brought attacking and expansive football back at Old Trafford.

United under Mourinho scored a total of 38 goals in 24 games with an average of 1.58 goals per game.

The new coach wants United to dominate matches and that has been seen in the first three games: 72 per cent against Cardiff City, 65 per cent against Huddersfield Town and 63 per cent against Bournemouth.

Pogba rattled the post with a low strike in the 75th minute as the Frenchman continued to search for his first senior hat-trick, but he ultimately had to settle for his second brace in the space of four days.

Starting XI: De Gea (6); Shaw (7), Lindelof (6), Bailly (5), Young (6); Pogba (8*), Matic (6), Herrera (7); Martial (7), Rashford (8), Lingard (6).

Captain Vincent Kompany was delighted after Manchester City ended a two-game losing slump.

"We needed to win and it was a great performance as well so we're coming back".

It lifted the Premier League champions above Tottenham into second, seven points behind leaders Liverpool ahead of their showdown on Thursday.

- With four goals and three assists, December 2018 has been Pogba's best month for goal involvements in his top-flight career.

N'Golo Kante made the difference at Selhurst Park by chesting down David Luiz's ball into the area and firing past Vicente Guiata in the 51st minute.

After surviving a Southampton penalty appeal, the visitors regained control just before the break.

Chelsea kept pressure on Man City and Tottenham with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.
