McCaw will sign a two-year, $6 million offer sheet with the Cavaliers, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

A report last week from Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports stated that the Warriors were prepared to match any offer sheet for restricted free agent Patrick McCaw.

McCaw played in 128 regular games (30 starts) over two seasons with Golden State and averaged 4.0 points in 15.9 minutes per game.

It appears as though the 23-year-old's stint in basketball limbo has ended, thanks to the Cavaliers.

Golden State was awaiting the electronic arrival of a signed offer sheet before it finalizes its decision on whether it'll match Cleveland's offer and retain McCaw, the source said.

Matching the offer would cost the Warriors over $11 million because of the luxury tax. No word from the Warriors yet, but we should expect something from Golden State. The Warriors would like to keep a roster spot open, which creates more opportunities should they target a player on the trade or buyout market.

He was sidelined for nearly two months with a bone bruise in his lower back near the end of last season after a horrific fall during a game at Sacramento.

In McCaw's stead, Alfonzo McKinnie has emerged from the basketball wilderness to seize a role as a reserve wing. "He doesn't have the leverage".
