The 41st president died Friday at his home in Houston at 94. The current president gave Bush, a decorated WWII naval aviator who flew several combat missions, a brief salute before the first couple left the Capitol. The Postal Service will provide limited package delivery service on that day to ensure that the network remains fluid.

"It's pretty obvious as people look back, and as people are recollecting the Bush presidency, it looks a heck of a lot better than it did at the end of it", he said.

Following funeral and memorial services in Washington, D.C., and Houston, Bush will be transported by the funeral train from Spring to College Station, Texas, on Thursday.

Former president George W. Bush, the eldest of the four Bush sons, and his wife Laura, along with brother Neil Bush and his family, will accompany their father's body to Joint Base Andrews outside Washington, said family spokesperson Jim McGrath.

As of Monday morning, all living Presidents are expected to attend Bush's funeral on Wednesday at the Washington National Cathedral. Many have also heralded Bush's 73-year marriage to his wife, Barbara Bush, who died months before her husband in April 2018.
