Cavaliers trade Kyle Korver before matchup against the Thunder

The Cleveland Cavaliers traded Kyle Korver to the Utah Jazz on Wednesday, which ended the veteran's almost two years as a member of the team.

The Jazz are sending the Cavs shooting guard Alec Burks and two future second-round picks in exchange for Korver.

"Everyone was a little bit surprised", Allen said before the Jazz's road game against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.

Korver returns to Utah, where he spent three seasons with the Jazz from 2007-2010, including making a career-best 53.6 percent of his three-pointers in 2009-10, which continues to be the best percentage in a single season in National Basketball Association history.

ESPN first reported the sharpshooting Korver is on the move. "Obviously, being around, I know how that goes but it's something you never want to see with guys going but I wish the best for him".

Burks is on a $11.53 million expiring contract, which could have value before the trade deadline.

The Jazz have been a disappointment so far, and Korver fills the club's need for an outside shooter. "They're missing shots that they normally make so I think that's something we can definitely improve on". Whether it's Collin Sexton, Cedi Osman, or other young players, that group has gotten much more of an opportunity to produce than veterans not named Tristan Thompson.

The 27-year-old Burks has battled injuries over the past few years. The former All-Star had a productive stint in Cleveland, helping lead them to two Finals appearances while averaging 9.3 points per game on 46.8 percent from the field and 45.4 percent from beyond the arc in his time there.
