Looking ahead, the Lions have two tough matchups coming at home at Ford Field when they host the Bears on Thursday in their annual Thanksgiving Day game and then they welcome the Los Angeles Rams the following Sunday.

Though it was not clear exactly when the injury occurred, Trubisky seemed in pain following a 5-yard run late in the Bears' 25-20 victory. On offense, head coach Matt Nagy continues to be creative in his play calling with a heavy emphasis on his running game.

"I'm saying cautiously optimistic, but I can't make any promises", Nagy said.

Trubisky's injury situation has been compounded by the team's short week.

Chicago Bears backup quarterback Chase Daniel will get the start on Thursday over the injured Mitch Trubisky.

Nagy stressed it isn't a long-term injury, or one requiring surgery, but the Bears will be prepared if Daniel plays. All signs are starting to point to Trubisky not dressing. "The game is not fast to him when he plays".

"I feel good, so we'll see", King said Monday. "But when you just played somebody a couple of weeks ago, there's that fine line between chasing the cat's tail, as to what you think they're going to do, or they think you're going to do". He last attempted a pass in the regular season back in 2016 when he was with the Philadelphia Eagles. Daniel was sacked four times and finished with four yards on four carries but he still completed 27 of 37 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns.

-Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid told reporters safety Eric Berry could make his season debut when his team returns to action following the bye week.

The Lions haven't had much time to prepare for this game after playing last weekend, but the Bears had even less time to recover, since their Sunday game against Minnesota was at night. When you have a different player that's in and in the same position, it doesn't mean that they can do the same thing. We used to go out and put the slip n' slide out after practice and try to teach him and he couldn't do it.
