Woman chops off lover, cooks and serves him to Pakistanis in UAE

When a group of Pakistani workers in the United Arab Emirates were offered a feast of Machboos - a traditional dish made with rice and meat - they didn't know it contained a unique ingredient - human meat.

During questioning, the woman described the killing of the man as a moment of "insanity".

The 30-year-old accused confessed to the Al Ain prosecution to have killed her boyfriend and chopped his remains into pieces, Khaleej Times reported. She had been in a relationship with him for seven years before the murder.

While police did not reveal how he was killed, they said his girlfriend had served up his remains as part of a traditional rice and meat dish to some Pakistani nationals working nearby.

Her boyfriend vanished and there was no trace of him until his brother went looking for him and found the tooth inside the suspect's food processor.

During interrogation, the woman said she took help from a friend, who helped her clean the apartment after the crime.

According to the newspaper report, reports on the missing man surfaced on Moroccan media on November 13 quoting his brother, who said police found a human tooth inside the woman's blender.

Television network Investigation Discovery released a documentary titled Dead North about the grisly case in late May of this year. A DNA test later confirmed that it belonged to the missing man.

The accused has reportedly been sent to hospital for mental health checks.
