She lets us in on her journey through marriage, motherhood, and transformation from a deeply reluctant public figure into a global icon.

Michelle Obama may describe her new life as "boring", but her interview with Jimmy Kimmel is anything but.

Michelle Obama appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday and was asked by DeGeneres about the three previous presidential inaugurations she had attended, two of which were for former President Barack Obama, and "one of someone else", she said.

The autobiography takes readers on an honest and compelling journey from Obama's childhood to living in one of the world's - if not the most - famous addresses, The White House. After reading the first card, she laughed and said into the camera, "I've never eaten a vegetable". She also shared that Oprah's BFF Gayle King is also a frequent texter in her life because "Gayle is a worrier", so she'll often check in with Obama to make sure everything is okay. Have you ever heard anything more shocking?

"Because that's what fuels him", the former first lady responded. "Laura, I'm sorry. Send me the bill!"

She also told the audience that she stole the phrase, "When they go low, we go high" from the "back of a Snapple cap" and that George Clooney is her "freebie". They get so mad every time I mess their names up. "That's insane to me", Kimmel said. Obama said. "He doesn't quite know what to do, so he starts following us, and I'm like (to Malia), 'Run fast, run faster!'"
