Although this consumer phenomenon first began in the U.S., it quickly became a popular event in the United Kingdom, with high street retail chains such as Argos and John Lewis now taking part each year.

As Black Friday 2018 approaches, we've been busy gathering a wealth of current and upcoming sales for you to consider this year.

Walmart will continue the practice of color-coding certain departments to help shoppers find deals.

BFAds We're approaching the Black Friday 2018 sales extravaganza where we expect to see tons of tech hit rock-bottom prices.

Many retailers offer Black Friday deals both in store and online, with some launching deals earlier in order to beat rivals.

The company says the deals will be available in-store starting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22.

"We know many of our customers are starting to think about Christmas presents, parties and decorations at this time of year and we're excited to offer great deals when shoppers need them most", said Doug Gurr, Country Manager, Amazon.co.uk in a statement. However, the retailer has already started the push with a slew of deals on its website. That includes a Sharp 55-inch 4K ultra HD HDR smart LED TV for $299 ($200.99 off), Lenovo IdeaPad 330s 15.6-inch laptop for $349 ($30 off), and meShare Wifi Cam for $39.99 ($10 off).

Noteworthy, upcoming promotions include a PS4 Slim 1TB Spiderman bundle for $199, an Xbox One S 1TB Minecraft bundle for $199, and a Google Home Mini for $25 (from $49).

The official Walmart Black Friday ad scan is here, and it points to excellent tech that will go on sale, with most "rollback prices" happening on Wednesday, November 21 at 10pm ET.
