To be clear, Destiny 2 isn't going entirely free-to-play.

There are many reasons why you should check this game out as a PC gamer.

Similarly, it's worth noting that Destiny 2 is only free on PC, and not Xbox One and PS4. Right now, you can sign into your Battle.net account and receive a free copy of Destiny 2 that, once you claim it, is yours forever. Recently, it has received new raid that can be enjoyed playing but never heard any instructions whether or not it will be free. It's not just good news for those who haven't purchased the game in the past however. All you need is a Battle.net account to download the game. For players, you get an absolutely free AAA title with a ton of depth and gameplay. During it's highly-anticipated release on PC, via Blizzard's Battle.net, Destiny 2 quickly became the largest PC launch in Activision history, though the exact numbers still haven't been released.

During Blizzcon 2018, Bungie announced it's giving away Destiny 2 for free on PC between now and November 18. It doesn't include the DLC, and obviously Activision and Bungie are crossing their fingers that gamers will pony up for the Forsaken expansion after getting their feet wet in the main campaign.
