Klay Thompson was the star for the Golden State Warriors as he set a new National Basketball Association record for three-pointers in a single game. He has made at least five threes in all seven games, breaking George McCloud's record of six games in a row during the 1995-1996 season.

Thompson entered a very un-Thompsonlike 5-for-36 from 3-point range.

He finished with 18 points and still hasn't had a 20-point outing this season for the 6-1 Warriors.

Steph Curry helped the Golden State Warriors overcome a late Brooklyn Nets rally on Sunday, winning 120-114.

Curry may have broken the record, but the story here is really one about partnership, as Curry and Kevin Durant are dominating matches for the Warriors. Of course, so do Curry's and Durant's, and both are averaging more than 30 points.

Karl-Anthony Towns added 25 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks for the Timberwolves, and rookie guard Josh Okogie scored a season-high 17 points.

Tim Hardaway Jr. scored the first eight points of a decisive run spanning the second and third quarters as host NY snapped a five-game losing streak by beating Brooklyn.

Nerlens Noel had 20 points and 15 rebounds for the Thunder - their victory leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers, who fired coach Tyronn Lue on Sunday, as the league's only winless team.

DALLAS (AP) - Rudy Gobert and De Andre Jordan recorded their sixth straight double-doubles in six games this season to lead Utah.

He fell just short of another career triple-double when he - along with JJ Redick and Joel Embiid - was given an early mark by coach Brett Brown and ended the clash with 21 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists to lead the Sixers in every category.

Then in Golden State's next game after Curry poured in 51 points in a rout of Washington, Kevin Durant scored 25 in the fourth quarter, the best total of his career, and finished with 41 in a victory at NY.

Curry's shooting ability was a sight to behold in the first half, as he tallied 24 points and sank five of his eight shots from deep.

The Clippers won for the fourth time in five games. I think our next step is getting other guys involved and finishing games at the same point at the same time. The Wizards are 1-5 this season and have lost 11 in a row to the Clippers in Los Angeles, dating back to February 13, 2008.
