The A-68 ice island is roughly the size

It's not a ideal rectangle, but it's still a highly angular quadrilateral. An angled view of the geometric iceberg.Image: NASA/Operation IceBridgeThese photos were captured by IceBridge senior support scientist Jeremy Harbeck, who spotted the tabular iceberg near the Larsen C ice shelf. As per the scientists, this tabular iceberg is said to be the products of the calving ice shelves.

"These icebergs broke off recently, sharp corners and smooth surface indicates that the gap occurred recently", they say in NASA.

Because the world was absolutely not satisfied before, NASA has released even more images of that baffling, almost perfectly rectangular-shaped iceberg.

What happened: NASA posted a photo on Twitter of an iceberg that looks like a rectangle. During the year 2017 in July, Antarctica's Larsen C ice shelf said to have been released this enormous A68 iceberg, and during the investigation of that, this structure was spotted.

On Tuesday, it emerged that Mr Harbeck had spotted two rectangular icebergs on the same flyover.

You may recall the first image, which was taken by the NASA's IceBridge, a fleet of research aircraft dedicated to studying Earth's polar ice by measuring annual changes in thickness of sea ice, glaciers, and ice sheets. At the far left is the original geometric iceberg, with the massive A68 Iceberg in the background. Harbeck's October 16 flight is part of a five-week long deployment that is scheduled to end November 18. It's now in the midst of a five-week project to chart icebergs in the Northern Antarctic Peninsula, a mission that's scheduled to conclude on 18 November.
