TV host Megyn Kelly is no stranger to controversy but her latest comments about "blackface" may have gotten her NBC morning show canceled.

"Well, we got a nice preview of the outrage this year with all the tantrums that NBC News" Megyn Kelly has caused with an admittedly tone-deaf but overall harmless opinion on "Megyn Kelly Today, ' during what should have been a civil conversation between four adults", Glenn said.

"Back when I was a kid, that was OK just as long as you were dressing as a character", Kelly said.

Kelly was absent from her NBC News morning show on Thursday after the comments earlier this week. Kelly asked on her show. I texted her at the time and she apologized", he said, before adding, "I think I was a good husband.

Multiple sources have confirmed to DailyMail.com that Megyn Kelly is out at NBC...

She apologized to her colleagues via email on Tuesday and opened her show on Wednesday with an apology for not knowing the racist history of blackface until this week.

Conservatives also recall how Kelly gained infamy during the first GOP presidential debate of the 2016 election cycle when she spearheaded Fox's "Kill Donald" campaign - an aggressive effort to sink the insurgent, front-running candidacy of Donald Trump.

After all, Kelly is said to have an annual salary of $17 million or more, and if NBCU has to pay any of that out, it could seek to gain some return on its investment, the attorney said.

After she made the comments, Kelly retained the services of Bryan Freedman, one of Hollywood's litigators.

Variety reported that Kelly was interested in taking on a new position within the network, but Kelly reportedly has a contentious relationship with NBC News Chairman Andy Lack. A person familiar with the matter tells Variety that Kelly departed CAA because the agency also represents NBC News president Noah Oppenheim.

Over the past two days, Kelly has unsuccessfully sought to contain the damage from several statements she made on her hour of Today defending the desire of white people to dress up in blackface costume for Halloween.

Spokespeople for NBC News declined to comment, and most staffers at the news division remain in the dark about what's happening with the show.

Sammataro said he'd be surprised if Kelly walked away with her full contract, "unless she has an airtight provision".

The blow-up with NBC, at least publicly, revolves around Kelly's comments Tuesday about what is or isn't out of bounds for Halloween.

"They're contacting the staff and reassigning everyone today". They were hoping to bring some of her popularity.
