Chelsea should sack coach Ianni says Phil Neville

Man Utd news Anthony Martial netted twice in the win against Chelsea

Maurizio Sarri revealed he had "dealt with " Marco Ianni after his second assistant coach incited a touchline bust-up during a dramatic finish to Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

Mourinho, though, will be relieved that on this occasion, he is in the clear.

United had returned from a goal down to a 2-1 lead in the Premier League clash against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge but were denied the three points by Barkley who came in from the bench to share the spoil.

It says the FA could take further action against Ianni or Mourinho for the ugly scenes that spoiled an otherwise exciting encounter.

While not advocating for such a harsh punishment, British football pundits largely backed Mourinho, with former United midfielder Paul Ince saying he would react the same way as the Portuguese.

"I don't think he deserves more than what he got", Mourinho said, referring to Ianni. His agent, Philippe Lamboley, even went as far publicly declaring in June that it was "time" for the 22-year-old to leave.

"We (the staff) are here to make decisions, it is not just the starting XI", said Silva.

"I didn't see anything on the pitch but after the match I spoke with José and immediately understood that we are wrong", Sarri said. "But I also made mistakes in football matches and I will make more so after the game when he came to offer his apologies, I accept", added Mourinho.

"I got a couple of goals, a couple of assists and played well for England so it just goes to show that hard work does pay off in the end". He deserves a second chance - he doesn't deserve to be sacked. "I also did mistakes, especially when I was your age'". Probably someone with great potential.

Young, who received praise for how he limited the influence of Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard, told MUTV: "We have to look at the positives, I think we deserved to win it - we got on top".

Premier League champions Manchester City are moving ominously into gear, boasting almost 2.9 goals per game in the Premier League after nine matches - an even higher strike rate than over the course of their record-breaking return last season.
