The launch event ticket worth Rs. 999 was made available yesterday and within few minutes, the tickets were sold out.

Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus has recently announced that the OnePlus 6T launch, originally scheduled for October 30 in NY, has been moved up to October 29 instead. In addition to that, he also said that Android 9 Pie will come pre-installed on the OnePlus 6T, which is to be expected, considering that it landed on the OnePlus 6 a while back.

The OnePlus 6T is due for launch in a little over a week.

Though, the company has not revealed much about the features and specifications about the phone as of now but they have made it clear that fingerprint scanner in the OnePlus 6T will be optical, rather than ultrasonic.

Furthermore, Pete Lau stated that OnePlus doesn't want one of the important products in their history to be affected by another great product launch, and they've rescheduled the event to October 29. The device will be launched on 30 October worldwide.

OnePlus has reacted to Apple's move by re-scheduling its own plans for a different day. On Thursday, Twitter went abuzz with news of Apple's NY event scheduled for October 30.

"When we announced the launch of the OnePlus 6T on October 8, we were convinced our timing would allow us to maximize the amount of people we could reach with our message", says Lau.

The shift is dates is in order to avoid being "overshadowed" by Apple's event. On the OnePlus Forums Pete Lau, CEO, spelled out the reason for them moving, although it is fairly obvious. "The next, we were posed with a hard question: 'What do we do now?'"

It's an incredibly unfortunate situation for OnePlus, but the company is seemingly dealing with its situation well and communicating with its fans. Over the course of nearly 5 years, we have been proud to witness the rise of one of the most passionate and powerful communities in all of tech. "Our team will be getting in touch with all ticket owners individually to help you out".
