But before then, players can try for an even bigger reward with the Mega Millions on Tuesday, now boasting a tally of $1.6 billion, bringing both lotteries to the aforementioned combined total of $2.22 billion.

While the epic prize is up for grabs in the US, Lottoland UK customers can bet on the outcome of the MegaMillions lottery and potentially win a separate jackpot.

The Mega Millions lottery in the United States may see a streak of jackpot rollovers end as it heads towards a record $US1.6 billion ($2.2 billion).

N.C. officials said that in this past Tuesday's drawing, 93,726 tickets sold in North Carolina won a prize, ranging from $2 to $10,000. United Kingdom players can win a separate prize by betting on the numbers.

We have a victor, but they are not from the Tennessee Valley.

Russ Lopez, spokesman for the California Lottery, said tickets were going "very, very quickly" Saturday. The next Powerball drawing is Wednesday. The numbers were 15, 23, 53, 65, 70 and Mega Ball 7.

You must match all five numbers plus the Mega number to win the grand prize.

The Powerball jackpot now stands at $620 million after no one matched all six numbers in Saturday night's $470 million drawing.

The base prize for matching the five white numbers drawn is $1 million. The odds of winning the jackpot are about one in 302 million but, with so many tickets being purchased, the likelihood of rollover becomes increasingly slim.
