Cristiano Ronaldo dismisses rape allegations as ‘fake news’ By STAFF REPORTER

"What they said today, fake - fake news".

"They wanna promote by my name, it's normal".

"I'm a happy man and all good".

Police announced the case was re-opened on Monday.

Back in 2009, the summer that Ronaldo joined Real Madrid from Manchester United, he was on holiday in the USA when the alleged attack took place. Pictures show Ronaldo and Ms Mayorga together at the club.

Mayorga told Der Spiegel she no longer felt bound by the non-disclosure agreement as she suffers from the consequences of the night nine years ago.

He is then alleged to have offered her clothes to change into and pointed her towards the bathroom. "I wanted him to deal with it, to have to face me", she said. He then pulled her into a bedroom and raped her as she screamed "no, no, no", the lawsuit said.

The magazine's Deputy Editor-in-Chief, Alfred Weinzierl, told Reuters the publication has repeatedly sought contact and comment from Ronaldo's management and lawyers about the allegations before publishing.

Ronaldo is one of the biggest names in world sport. It was an agreement which, her lawyers claim, was never honoured by Ronaldo and contains documents that prove he knew she had not consented.

The model shared the post with her 7.4million followers amid accusations Ronaldo raped 34-year-old Kathryn Mayorga and paid her £287,000 for her silence.

Knowing she was a "vulnerable person", his team reinforced the threat of public humiliation if she or anyone else publicly disclosed her allegations or cooperated with law enforcement, her complaint says. Once there, say the court papers, he urged her into his hot tub, but she refused because she did not want to spoil her dress.

Mayorga's lawyer, Leslie Stovall, has filed a suit in Nevada seeking to have the settlement voided. "So, I'm terrified. I'm scared", she said.

But now she wants to overturn that original settlement because of the #MeToo movement and as she claims she is now suffering suicidal thoughts, depression and PTSD.

Mayorga now works as a teacher in the Las Vegas area.

Ronaldo, who now plays for Italian side Juventus, claimed Ms Mayorga's physical injuries were caused by another person.

In the interview, Mayorga alleges that Ronaldo met her in a nightclub, Rain, where she was working and invited her back to his hotel room.
