September 27 marked the beginning of Season 6 in Fortnite Battle Royale and the release of the Week 1 challenges.

Season five ended with the game's long-moving cube dissolving into Loot Lake and turning the surface bouncy. "Level up your Battle Pass to unlock Bonesy, Scales, and Camo, new critters that will join you on your journey across the map", wrote Epic Games. According to the developer, the update contains fixes for "item and animation issues", but Nintendo Switch players are reporting that it has also made the game unplayable for them.

Fatal Fields area now has corn fields. But you can sneak up on your opponents with increased movement speed and jump height, then shoot them in the back once the effect has worn off.

They are not seismic changes this time around, with Epic Games not putting in vast, sprawling new areas, but just a few new places to entertain us all.

The sixth Season of Fortnite has officially arrived and it's a horror junkies dream come true.

Epic has vaulted the suppressed submachine gun, impulse grenade, light machine gun and remote explosives as well. The Double Barrel Shotgun got a significant nerf going from 143/150 damage to 114/120. A list of available pets hasn't been mentioned, but the teaser video for the season, showcases there to be a dog, a chameleon and a dragon.

You will unlock pets by leveling up your Battle Pass.

As with each season of "Fortnite", users can add a fresh Battle Pass, a one-time purchase players make to add even more cosmetic items such as skins, including one outfit where players can turn into a werewolf. Thankfully, it's not too out of the way so you won't waste a lot of time obtaining it.
