Instant Reaction from Ohio State's 27-26 Win at Penn State

The public betting for this game now has 68 percent going on Ohio State on the road. Ohio State outgained Penn State by almost 100 yards to close things out.

"They did a good job; they ran a twist to be able to get in the backfield quickly".

Said McSorley: "I think we had run it once before; it was something we had talked about during the week".

"They changed the look [on defense], so we called a timeout and had some discussions", said Franklin, who called two timeouts before the ill-fated play was smothered by Ohio State's Chase Young.

Ohio State (5-0, 2-0) began its comeback when Haskins threw a high pass that was pulled in by receiver Victor Binjimen, who then zigzagged his way through defenders for a 47-yard TD to pull the Buckeyes within 26-21 with 6:42 to go. He called the 96-yard drive for the winning touchdown "one of the great drives in Ohio State history".

OVERALL: B-. Another two-score, fourth-quarter lead lost to Ohio State. A stunning, jaw-dropping sequence of events that left Penn State reeling in the realm of what could - and probably should - have been.

Penn State has won 24 of its past 28 games, but those four losses have been by a combined eight points. An elite team makes big plays in the biggest moments.

Ohio State ran out the clock, leaving the sellout crowd stunned in disbelief. He threw one pass over 10 yards in the first half, missed several more and was hit multiple times. It looked like the Nittany Lions would get another home victory against the Buckeyes (5-0, 2-0) like they did in 2016.

"The reality is that we've gone from being an average football team to a good football team to a great football team and worked really hard to do those things", Franklin said.

He finished the game 22-of-39 passing for 270 yards with three touchdowns and one interception. Miles Sanders was quiet with 43 yards on 16 carries and Juwan Johnson and Brandon Polk were inconsistent catching the ball beyond Juwan's awesome one-handed grab. The Nittany Lions lead 3-0 and sailed a field goal wide that would have given the team a six-point lead.

Early in the second quarter, Garrett Taylor intercepted a pass off the hands of tight end Rashod Berry and returned it 45 yards to the Buckeyes' 28. Haskins completed just 7-of-16 passes for 62 yards after beginning the game completing 76 percent of his passes. That field position was short lived; a Dobbins screen for 35 yards put Ohio State near the 40, and gains of 11 and 14 yards pushed the Buckeyes near the 30, setting up a go-head scoring toss from Haskins to K.J.

"It's not going to happen again", Franklin said.
