LG V40 ThinQ leaks out for AT&T

A new, official-looking render from renowned leaker Even Blass and a video from LG expose the handset in all its glory, showing us what to expect when it's unveiled next week. So the LG V40 ThinQ is now officially announced on the company's website, but most of its specs are still a mystery.

The phone will be available in three colors: gray, red, and blue, and we get a glimpse of all three in the promo video (above). The back panel of the phone features triple camera unit with a fingerprint scanner below.

As well as the rear cameras, the front is said to have a dual-lens set-up that could offer facial recognition. The phone will be the same width as its 6-inch predecessor, the LG V30; the company claims it increased the screen size within the same form factor by reducing the size of the bezels.

We can also very clearly see the trio of cameras that are on the back of the V40 ThinQ, with the flash sitting there right next to them.

However, LG didn't provide any details regarding the specifications on these cameras.

LG Electronics has reported 771 billion won in profits for the second quarter of 2018.

LG Uplus, South Korea's third largest mobile carrier, has added Google Assistant to its Internet Protocol TV service set-top box. LG is launching its next V-series smartphone- V40 ThinQ- at a special event in NY on October 3 and in Seoul on October 4.

The phone will boast five cameras in total; two on the front and three on its rear.

The new displays are about half as good as human eyes but require massive amounts of processing power.
