Additionally, a Yale University classmate of Kavanaugh, Debbie Ramirez, claims he exposed himself to her at a college party, and Michael Avenatti, who is representing adult film star Stormy Daniels in her lawsuit against Trump, tweeted Sunday he soon intends to reveal accusations against Kavanaugh from another woman. The people who knew me then know that this did not happen and have said so.

Justice Kavanaugh already faces a separate allegation of sexual assault made by Christine Blasey Ford, a professor at Palo Alto University, who claims Kavanaugh attempted to sexually assault her at a drunken high school party in the early 1980s. "I am not questioning and have not questioned that perhaps Dr. Ford at some point in her life was sexually assaulted by someone at some place, but what I know is I've never sexually assaulted anyone".

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell slammed his Democratic colleagues Monday; saying the liberal legislators were launching a "smear campaign" based on "decades old allegations" to destroy Brett Kavanaugh's "personal and professional life".

Kavanaugh said he "did not have sexual intercourse or anything close to sexual intercourse in high school or for many years thereafter".

"There's a chance that this could be one of the single most unfair, unjust things to happen to a candidate for anything", Trump said.

Kavanaugh told Fox News that the claims against him were false, that he never attended a party like the one Blasey Ford described, and that he has never sexually assaulted anyone. Kavanaugh denies the allegation.

"She thinks maybe it could have been him, maybe not", Trump told reporters in NY. "I can still see his face, and his hips coming forward, like when you pull up your trousers". Kavanaugh deinied the latest allegation.

"Labeling this a partisan smear job demeans not only the senators in my caucus", Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of NY said. "And we won't stand for Senate Republicans' despicable attempts to strong-arm a sexual assault survivor".

Ramirez is not scheduled to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Ashley Kavanaugh was the personal secretary to President George W. Bush when Brett Kavanaugh worked in the White House.

With what had once seemed a sure-fire confirmation process suddenly thrown into doubt, President Trump's pick for the high court continued to sternly deny that he had acted inappropriately with either woman.

The judiciary committee that needs to approve Kavanaugh's confirmation has a narrow 11-10 Republican majority, but Sen.

It would only take a single Republican going against Kavanaugh for the nomination not to be confirmed.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), a member of the committee, confirmed Tuesday that rather than ask questions himself on Thursday, "I'm going to let the professional person do it".

"There is now a frenzy to come up with something - anything - that will block this process and a vote on my confirmation from occurring", Kavanaugh said in his statement. That account was quickly called into question, particularly as the magazine had not corroborated the account with witnesses and the acccuser - Deborah Ramirez - admitted that she doesn't fully remember the incident as she was drunk.
