MARVEL's FEIGE Wants Female-Fronted Superhero Films to be the 'Norm'

VIDEO: Our First Look at Brie Larson as 'Captain Marvel'

We got not just a look at Brie Larson in her superhero costume, but also a bunch of new information and photos from the upcoming movie.

The first wave of marketing promo has hit the internet courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. In the after-credits scene of "Avengers: Infinity War", Fury sends an alert to Captain Marvel before disappearing from the Thanos snap. Danvers is seen without her Captain Marvel suit in another photo (scroll to the bottom) alongside Law's character, Walter Lawson aka Mar-Vell, who's the commander of Starforce.

Captain Marvel continues its first promotional push by debuting the first in-depth interview with Jude Law, regarding the significance of his mysterious role in Captain Marvel, and what kind of place he will hold in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the most powerful hero, there's no doubt Captain Marvel will be an instrumental for the franchise in moving forward.

"She can't help but be herself", Larson told EW of her character, adding: "She can be aggressive, and she can have a temper, and she can be a little invasive and in your face".

EW's report confirms that this is not a traditional origin story, beginning after Carol Danvers already has her powers, and has joined a Kree military team called Starforce. He went on to say that her humanity is "also the thing that makes her great".

At some point in the tale, however, Carol will be drawn back to Earth as her home planet is invaded by a race of shape-shifting aliens known as the Skrulls, headed by Ben Mendelsohn's Talos. In addition, Lee Pace will be reprising his role as Ronan from Guardians Of The Galaxy. And dang, does she look good!

"This is not a superhero who's ideal or otherworldly or has some godlike connection", Boden said. Then there's this human part of her that is flawed but is also the thing that she ends up leading by.

Captain Marvel, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, opens worldwide on 8 March, 2019. And she can be headstrong and reckless and doesn't always make the flawless decisions for herself.
