Alabama won their season opener against Louisville 51-14 and never appeared to skip a beat.

"Well, I still like both guys".

"I still like both guys".

Saban may want to convince everyone that both Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa have roles on the team, and that's fine. I'm not going to. Saban said he wouldn't "disrespect" them with an answer. Taylor was absolutely right to ask the question in her postgame interview on the field, whether Saban likes it or not.

It was an awkward scene, with Taylor replying "I hear you", then moving on to another question about Saban's offense.

The Crimson Tide was also penalized for 111 yards, the most in a game since 2016. Saban indicated that the QB taking the first snap would be a game-time decision. Saban hadn't officially named a starter entering the season and has yet to publicly determine who his starting quarterback will be in future contests. You can think Tagovailoa is better, but still try to respect for Hurts because of his past success. In between, Tagovailoa had a 9-yard scoring run and fellow sophomore Najee Harris scored on a 1-yard run. The final numbers for Tagovailoa, who played only one series in the second half: 12 of 16 for 227 yards and two touchdowns. Saban wasn't thrilled and got unnecessarily angry.
