The seed has well and truly been planted, ladies and gentlemen.

WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder says he will fight Tyson Fury later this year providing the Englishman beats Italy's Francesco Pianeta in Belfast on Saturday night.

Now, both heavyweights have managed to find their way to each other, clashing in the lobby of the Belfast hotel where the weigh-ins took place.

Keep in mind that Fury weighed up to 27 stone this time a year ago.

Wilder & Fury have a fight scheduled for November - so, there's a good argument to be made that this is showmanship, but then again Fury did just publicly rip Wilder, saying he doesn't have one brain cell in his head.

Wilder gave time to the fan, before then reverting back to his showman character and whipping up a scene at the Europa Hotel where the weigh-in was being held.

The pair shook hands but Fury was not happy, telling Wilder to "shut up" and eventually being dragged away from the heavyweight champion.

Following the weigh-in, Wilder and Fury clashed outside, with the two fighters separated by security. Joshua's old news. The new kid in town is Fury.

Tyson Fury responds to taunts from Deontay Wilder.

Of John Fury, he added: "I'll get my grandfather out of the grave to knock him out".

Carl Frampton may be feeling more like a warm-up act at his own show after that display, but he had a fairly uneventful morning in comparison, weighing in at 126lbs exactly.

Another wrote: "I hope they make this fight".
