Lowry watches a drive during his first round

Kisner, playing alongside Woodland, shot 64 Friday.

"So in eight holes, he had seven birdies", Furyk said.

Lowry was three under par for the first ten holes of his second round when play was suspended by rain yesterday. He was at 7 under, three shots behind Woodland with eight holes to play. I'm delighted to be where I am and looking forward to the afternoon and tomorrow.

The third round will get underway with a host of the sports biggest names in the mix and vying for the final Major of the year.

"I'm going back to the hotel". He bounced back with two more birdies, bogeyed the ninth and didn't make a par until the 10th hole, and even then he had to make a 12-foot putt. "Gary and I are good buddies, had a great time out there playing and if I could only hit it as far as he could it would be a different game". The golf course is gettable and I'm holing a few putts.

"For me, I'm very happy with where I'm at. I'm hoping that it goes on for another two days".

"Obviously things haven't been going well for me this year".

"I have my brother on the bag, and he's doing a great job, really enjoyed it".

"I have my dad here to watch".

The former Southern Utah golfer, who is an assistant at Davis Park Golf Course, had shot a 76 in the first round but was much better on Friday.

Woods, 42, found himself three-over par after the first two holes.

"It seemed like that was the only way I was going to make birdie, hit it to tap-in distance or chip in", McIlroy said.

He's played 66 rounds of the championship and has played 30 of those rounds under par, a dozen at level par and two dozen over par.

Finau began this wild ride Friday afternoon with five straight birdies, four of them from between 20 and 25 feet, the shortest one at 12 feet.

The 14-time major victor was three under for his round to that point and carried on where he left off on Saturday morning, pitching to five feet and holing the birdie putt.

Woods lowest score was a second round 63 en route to victory in 2007 while his highest round was an opening day 77 in 2011, the very first time he missed the cut.

"Guys are making birdie from everywhere", Woods said.

Woods got up-and-down from 69 yards for birdie on the par-5 eighth when he resumed, but his momentum was slowed at the start of the back nine when he twice missed par putts from about 5 feet, sandwiched around a birdie.
