New Apple emoji include superheroes and the all-seeing eye.

Some of the most interesting new emojis Apple will release later this year are a variety of emojis with various hair types.

Apple is making it an annual tradition to preview new iOS emojis during World Emoji Day.

The Museum of Modern Art in NY has the original 176 emojis housed as a collection and said the trend started out in Japan as simple 12-pixel images to send via text in 1999.

Dye added "without a doubt we want it to always feel like an Apple emoji and that's what we're going for, but we really make that decision on a case by case basis". Apple hasn't said specifically when the new emojis will be available to users.

Celebrating world emoji day today, Apple has released a range of new emojis which includes a person with red hair, new hairstyles, animals and food.

"Emojis as a concept go back in the centuries to ideograms, hieroglyphics, and other graphic characters, enabling us to draw this lovely arch that covers all of human history". Popular emojis include faces representing various emotions, animals and love hearts. While Animoji allowed users to animate the facial expressions of emojis, Memoji will give you the ability to create a custom emoji that would look just like you. There will also be more food emojis, with incoming lettuce, mango, moon cake, and cupcake icons.

"I think probably every message I send from now on will have a ginger emoji in it, I nearly felt like I didn't want to use any emojis because there wasn't one that looked like me".
