Whole Foods gets in on Amazon Prime Day deals too

The 36-hour long sale marathon, as the name suggests is exclusively for its Prime members.

For Prime Day, Amazon is offering $10 off orders for those that haven't tried Whole Foods delivery through Prime Now, in addition to a $10 credit for use on a future order, until July 17. There will be an additional discount of 10 per cent for those paying with HDFC Bank cards.

One of the headline benefits of Amazon Prime is its upgraded shipping options.

The Amazon Prime Day sale is exclusive to Amazon Prime members only. The former offers deep discounts on top brands and popular items to consumers, while the latter lets customers have deals of limited time and quantity.

Amazon saw a big opportunity to create more value for its Prime program and add new members when it acquired the grocer for $13.7 billion a year ago. Few other retailers can compete with the deals Best Buy usually has on Apple products, including the iPad and MacBook lines, and you cannot get Google products like the Nest or Google Home on Amazon either.

Prime Day is just seven days away, but that doesn't prevent Amazon from running some early deals on some of its products and services.

Prime members will also save on groceries.

Amazon will be holding special Prime Day Flash sales starting from 1 pm on July 16. This is a good deal on the Echo Dot but its hard to say if this will be the best deal.

But Prime Day will include a number of gadget deals.

Amazon is offering a Prime Day quiz which will serve as entry for a chance to win a Lexus ES.

At the Amazon Prime Day sale, the smartphones will come with an additional Rs 3000 off on the listed exchange price. Subscribers can get free one-day delivery on millions of items, with same-day delivery available in certain areas; if you order at lunchtime, you'll get your delivery by evening. Amazon cut prices on many items at Whole Foods upon completing the acquisition past year, as part of its broader push into physical retail stores.

It's worth remembering that to get the deals you'll need an Amazon Prime account which costs £7.99 per month or £79 per year.
