Fortnite's Playground LTM ends in a week, Epic teases plans for the next one

Fortnite Battle Royale's latest limited-time mode, Playground, has proven to be very popular.

Do not despair. Playground will return with some minor changes and tweaks, although there's no mention of making structures or creations permanent.

So Playground Mode is for when you just want to relax and have fun.

Although that doesn't sound hopeful, they continued on to state exactly what kind of upgrades would be made."For the next version of Playground we're hoping to include functionality that would allow team selection options within the Playground itself".

The Fortnite Playground limited time mode finally got underway for real this week and has managed to run along pretty well since. At its core, the mode is a private space where up to four players can interact independently of others.

In Fortnite Playground v2, Epic Games is hoping to give players the ability to choose teams, in groups of 1v1 or 2v2.

"Thank you and let us know what else you'd love to see in a future version!"

The feedback to this news has been mostly positive online, with fans sharing their thoughts on the LTM. "We all landed tilted, and by the time we were done, it was unrecognisable", one fan posted on Reddit.

Don't worry though - Epic Games know they have a hit on their hands.

"Obviously lots of work needs to be done before anything like that can happen, but maybe one day". Additionally, more loot is available to pilfer, allowing players to test their skills and explore gameplay possibilities without the pressure of enemy combatants.
