While there are various versions to Cheetah throughout comic book history, the buzz is Wigg will play Minerva as an anthropologist who gets transformed into Cheetah in a ritual in the lost city of Urzkartagan.

Over in the Marvel universe, things are looking web-slingingly good.

He may or may not be reprising his role as The Joker in the DC Extended Universe, following the muted response to the character in Suicide Squad.

Plus, Leto is now on tour with Thirty Seconds To Mars in North America in support of the band's latest album, America.

Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazama are penning the screenplay for the movie, although no timescale for the project has been confirmed just yet. After meeting with Espinosa in Germany, he apparently felt it was.

This is a horror action story of a scientist who, in trying to find a cure for a rare blood disease, accidentally transformed himself into a living vampire who, though disgusted by his own bloodlust, chooses to prey upon criminals he deems unworthy of life.

Morbius was introduced in 1971 by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane in "The Amazing Spider-Man #101". "Over time, however, he became a slightly heroic figure in his own right and even headlined his own comic book titles".

Sony has not dated the film's opening but production is likely to begin this year, reported Variety.

Meanwhile, the Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel Spider-Man: Far From Home is being written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers, with Jon Watts returning as director on the Sony and Marvel film.
