Here’s what Trump says Melania’s ‘don’t care’ coat means

The green army jacket is created to look similar to the Zara version Trump wore on her recent visit to a Texas facility housing migrant children separated from their parents.

The army green jacket was adorned with bold, white letters on the back, reading: "I REALLY DON'T CARE, DO U?".

Donald Trump does care about Melania's defiant stunt, apparently. She also said the first lady's visit with the children in Texas "impacted @flotus greatly".

In previous public appearances, the first lady has worn designs by Dolce & Gabbana, Del Pozo, Christian Dior, Emilio Pucci, Givenchy and Valentino, often with daringly high Christian Louboutin heels. Trump took it off before she stepped off the plane in Texas.

And from there, Meghan went on to denounce the jacket's apathetic message.

Sensing the heat, Trump's spokesperson Stephanie Grisham tried to deflect the media attention and said there was no hidden message behind the jacket using SheCares hashtag in the tweet.

The department said in a statement US Customs and Border Protection expects a small number of children separated for reasons other than zero tolerance would remain separated, including if the familial relationship can not be confirmed. "Mainstream Fake Media hates this story", Trump tweeted Saturday morning.

HHS also said in a release that it has a process to "ensure that family members know the location of their children and have regular communication after separation".

'Melania has learned how dishonest they are, and she truly no longer cares!'

As the first lady was visiting Texas, Mr Trump said at a cabinet meeting that he was directing federal agencies to begin reuniting children and parents separated at the US-Mexico border, a first step to implementing his executive order.

Mrs Trump sparked a firestorm of criticism over the $39 Zara khaki jacket with its daubed slogan which she wore to meet children who had been separated from their parents at a shelter in McAllen, Tx., Thursday. A senior administration official told CBS News that as of Friday night, about 500 children in custody of U.S. Customs and Border Protection were reunited with their parents. "To say WE CARE", the online description reads. She said she started crying when the two were reunited and that she's never going to be separated from him again.
