According to Business Insider, the upcoming show will be titled "Nintendo Switch Family Showdown" and will bring four families together to compete with eachother in a selection of Nintendo Switch games.

Nintendo and Disney are partnering up to create a new show dedicated to the Nintendo Switch console. On a colorful Nintendo-themed set, families will compete in a series of challenges in Nintendo Switch games, like searching for collectibles in Super Mario Odyssey, competing in head-to-head matchups in Mario Tennis Aces and participating in dance-offs in Just Dance 2018. It's great that Nintendo and Disney have chose to go with a diverse lineup of games, including single-player games, sports games, and party games. Similar to Nintendo Labo, it's another example of the company striving to attract different audiences who otherwise may not be interested in video games.

The competition will be aired on Disney XD and the Disney Channel starting on August 27; it'll also be accessible through the DisneyNOW app on the same day.

Furthermore, Disney has been quietly pushing eSports on its network lately. This is the 2nd year of the Switch and it will be even better than in 2017.

"Mario Tennis Aces" is one of three games that will appear on "Nintendo Switch Family Showdown".

Before anyone gets an invitation to compete in the contest, families must send in a video that creatively showcases why their family is Nintendo's ultimate fans.
