Actress Kelly Marie Tran has chose to quit social media after being subjected to months of racial and sexual harassment over her role in "Star Wars: The Last Jedi". And that's OKAY. Let us approach each other from a place of honesty in this confusion, let us embrace our differences with love.

"Rose Tico was unequivocally one of the highlights of 'The Last Jedi, '" Nanjiani tweeted in reaction to the news about Tran's harassment.

The new Han Solo has entered the field in the latest Star Wars: Battlefront II trailer.

Kelly played Rose, a mechanic who befriended Finn (John Boyega) in Episode 8, ultimately saving his life - however fans apparently didn't take to her character so well.

As of June 5, Tran's Instragam remains live, but all her posts are gone. The Rose Tico description on the Star Wars "Wookieepedia" website was altered to feature offensive, racist language.

- Ziggy (@mrjafri)Hey so a massive fuck you to the so called Star Wars fans who harassed Kelly Marie Tran to the point of her deleting everything off Instagram.

The majority of Star Wars fans, including Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, are voicing their support for Tran on social media. The page's tagline, which had been "Am I doing this right?" in November, now reads, "Afraid, but doing it anyway".

Star Wars Facts first reported that she deleted all posts from her Instagram account due to harassment.

Tran's Star Wars co-star, Daisy Ridley, deleted her Instagram account in December of 2016 after she too was inundated by trolls.

"I look forward to the hundreds of awesome things she will make over the course of her long career". Given that the four "Star Wars" films that have been released since that year have earned more than $4 billion, that pushes the total tally to more than $41 billion.

She told Glamour magazine at the time: 'I was on Instagram, trying to do that whole thing, and people weren't very nice. She expressed her concerns over her appearance, and went on to add a picture of herself, writing: "I'm an incomplete, imperfect, broken mess and I'm here to say that it's okay to be imperfect". "I was like, 'I'm out, ' Simple as a that".
