And that hype train continues to pick up speed as a recent Amazon listing - which was hastily updated, obviously - suggests the game is set to arrive a lot sooner than you think - the 31st July to be exact.

It could also be a nod to the actual Fallout 76 release date, although this is pure speculation at this time.

The thing that struck us most was the casual announcement of an already complete "Making Of" documentary for Fallout 76.

Vault 76 is not new to the Fallout games, as it has been mentioned many times before in previous games as well.

Typically, a new Fallout title falls into an Autumn release window, with Bethesda releasing Fallout 3 on October 28th, 2008 and Obsidian's spin-off Fallout: New Vegas on 19th October, 2010.

However, Fallout 76 could still launch the week of October 27.

Creation Club is a paid-for mod service run by Bethesda which showcases the best-of-the-best when it comes to mods for Fallout 4 and Skyrim.

Amazon later changed the date to 31 December 2018, so there's a chance that they accidently revealed the correct date and tried to hide it, but there's also a chance it could just have been a mistake. That would make a release of sorts within the next couple of months seem perfectly reasonable (so long as Bethesda is not daring to slap a full-price sticker on it of course). If we had to guess, we suspect that Fallout Vault 76's release date will be sometime in November.

Recently, Kotaku stated that they have been informed by different sources that Fallout 76 is going to be an online game and will be following the lines of Rust or DayZ. It's worth noting that the majority of games Bethesda featured during its E3 2017 conference were released later that year. What other rumors have you heard about Fallout 76?

This will be announced during Bethesda's upcoming E3 2018 conference, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 10.

The studio has now been re-branded as Bethesda Game Studios Austin and is reportedly assisting in the development of Fallout 76, which makes an online multiplayer experience look all the more likely.
