Xiaomi Mi 8 Leaks: What's new from Xiaomi's Flagship

Xiaomi is expected to launch its next-gen flagship Mi 8 on the 31st right on their 8th anniversary, and a steady stream of leaks over the past few weeks have revealed nearly everything about the Xiaomi Mi 8 Android smartphone device.

Other features include a faceID competitor, 3300mAh battery will run on Android Oreo 8.1 so a total package for less than $700.

Given Xiaomi's stated ambitions to break into the United States and other English-speaking markets, we can only hope that a reveal of more countries will soon follow these initial eight.

Xiaomi is expected to make major improvements in the upcoming flagship aka. the Mi 8. Separately, there is also a poster leak on SlashLeaks showing the front and back of the Mi 8. Design wise, it has a notch cutout on top which is rumored to be the same on the Mi 8 as well. The dual rear camera setup will come with a 20-megapixel primary sensor, featuring an f/1.7 aperture, and a 16-megapixel secondary sensor along with an f/2.0 aperture. The Mi 8 launch will be on May 31 at a grand event where we can see the Mi band 3 bracelet. It is said to be a lower-end version of the Mi 8, featuring a display notch and a Snapdragon 710 SoC.

After Mi 6, Xiaomi has skipped the Mi 7 and it has chose to go with the Mi 8 as this is Xiaomi's eighth anniversary.

The Xiaomi Mi8 will be launched on May 31, 2018. The multitasking menu has been revamped, performance will be boosted, and gesture controls will also be present in MIUI 10. Xiaomi can overtake Apple with the quality of these cameras, as already demonstrated on the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S, thanks to its AI capabilities. In the post, he mentions that the Mi Band 3 is coming on May 31 along with the Mi 8 and the MIUI 10. A heart-rate sensor will probably be included in the package yet again, and it will be implemented in the same way as it was in the Mi Band 2.

The Mi Band 3 display is a touchscreen display and this brings more functions onboard the device.
