‘Sesame Street’ Makers Sue Over New Melissa McCarthy Movie: You’re Defiling Big Bird’s Good Name with Ejaculating Puppets!

The makers of Sesame Street are suing the promoter of a new Melissa McCarthy movie, saying it's abusing the famed puppets' sterling reputation to advertise the R-rated film.

"[STX Entertainment] seem intent on seeding confusion in the mind of the public as to the association between the movie, Sesame Street, and its beloved Muppets from Sesame Street", the papers said. Jackson's 1989 film Meet the Feebles included puppet sex, gore, crime, and depravity nearly certainly more extreme than anything viewers will see in The Happytime Murders.

The film's tag line is "No Sesame".

What's more. Sesame says STX does not own, control or have the right to use "Sesame Street". Though the film contains no Sesame Street or Muppet characters, the trailer also prominently displays director Brian Henson's previous credits as director of several Muppet movies.

It added that the marketing material "irreparably harms" Sesame Street.

Sesame Street has taken legal action over the obscene new puppet movie The Happytime Murders.

"I am speechless that we were not consulted and asked for approval of this", Sesame Workshop president Jeffrey Dunn wrote to his counterpart at the Henson Co. last week. "All Street." "Sesame Workshop" claims it deliberately confuses consumers into thinking it's affiliated with "Sesame Street".

The poster for the movie has the tagline "No Sesame".

The movie is set to premiere in the USA on August 17.

The trailer features one puppet offering to suck McCarthy's dick for 50 cents, before being told she doesn't have a dick, and a sex scene showing another puppet ejaculating profusely.

"Sesame seeks to enjoin Defendants" deliberate effort to appropriate its SESAME STREET mark, and its trusted brand and goodwill, to promote their R-rated movie, The Happytime Murders, by way of a violent and sexually-explicit trailer.

Specifically they state that they will lose the ability to 'cultivate and maintain trust with its audience of parents and young children'. "Defendants threaten to inflict serious, irreparable damage to Sesame's mark and brand by associating their adult movie with Sesame Street".

The movie is described as being a filthy comedy and creator of the original Muppets, Jim Henson's son Brian Henson directs it. "All Street." tagline, would Sesame Workshop drop the suit?
