Stephen Curry scores 35 points for Golden State Warriors vs Houston

Steph Curry doesn't technically own Oracle Arena, but you get the idea.

On the Rockets side of the ball, Houston shot 39% from the field and 32% from the three-point range.

"I blacked out", Curry would say in his postgame press conference about why he said what he said. Curry said in an on-court interview after the game.

The defending champs came out forcefully Sunday night, however, blowing out Houston in a 126-85 win. The Warriors and Curry himself are confident that he can ride this momentum into the rest of the series and continue this elite level play.

The Warriors bounced back from their Game 2 loss to the Rockets, and Draymond Green was right; prior to Game 3, he exclaimed that the Warriors play the best when they feel threatened. After making the shot, Curry did a shimmy dance, something that he often does when he is in the groove.

"I already know", he said later, with a smile, when asked about the cursing. "She was telling me how I need to wash my mouth out, saying to wash it out with soap. It's a message I've heard before".

A devout Christian, Curry was apologetic but offered a pragmatic explanation for his outburst.

The 41-point margin of defeat was the largest in the Rockets' postseason history. I think it was like a knee-on-knee type of thing. "I have to try to do better next time".

Klay Thompson (13), Quinn Cook (11) and Andre Iguodala (10) also scored in double figures for the Warriors, who have won 26 of their last 30 play-off games. This is evident in the +46.9 Net Rating that the Warriors have posted this series when Kevon Looney shares the floor with the four all-stars.
