With the Winnipeg Jets and the Vegas Golden Knights in the heat of the 2018 Western Conference finals, we thought we'd turn back the CFL clocks a bit. His teammates did a great job of picking Fleury back up, though, as Jonathan Marchessault scored a back-breaking beauty on a two-on-one just 1:28 later to restore the two-goal lead for Vegas.

Marchessault was the one immediately after Game 1 who called Monday night a "must-win" and said we would find out what the Golden Knights are made of.

Here's how to watch Jets vs.

THE Winnipeg Jets are singing the first-goal blues this morning. He scored the Golden Knights' first goal at 13:23 in the first period en route to a 3-1 road win over the Winnipeg Jets to even the series at 1-1. Whether it's Perron or Tatar, the Golden Knights need more from the 2nd line. "Sometimes we simplify our game and it makes it easier for us to play our game". We got that 2-0 lead and it was a different game for us. Perhaps Gallant considered that Tatar already had three career goals against the Jets and the decision led to the first goal of the playoffs for Tatar, in only his fifth game. A wrist shot by Kyle Connor from a challenging angle squirted through Fleury, and it was suddenly 2-1 with 12:43 left. "Three minutes of it got away from us".

The Jets entered the night with 37 home victories, six shy of the National Hockey League record for most combined home wins in a season.

Winnipeg's only comeback victory was generated in Game 3 of the second round when the squad erased a 3-0 deficit after the first period to post an emotional 7-4 triumph at home over the Nashville Predators.

The Knights, who swept the Los Angeles Kings in the first round of the playoffs before downing the San Jose Sharks in six games to advance to the conference final, continue to defy the odds in a stunning inaugural campaign that saw them top the Pacific Division with 109 points.

Monday's effort in Game Two of the best-of-seven series will have only enhanced his claims. Gallant said Perron was not a healthy scratch. Actually you could be talking about most of the Vegas players. It is over with. "That's playoff hockey. You win one, you lose one, you think you have the momentum and then it's a fresh start".

The Golden Knights are banking heavily on Fleury to carry them through to the next round.

Vegas became the first team other than Nashville to beat the Jets in Bell MTS Place since the Los Angeles Kings on February 20.

The buzz, however, lasted just 88 seconds before Marchessault collected his second goal of the game with a nifty backhand over Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck. Tatar was acquired before the trade deadline from the Detroit Red Wings for three draft picks, but had just four goals and two assists in 20 games for Vegas in the regular season.
