Philadelphia 76ers star Joel Embiid was right in thinking he was fouled with 14.6 seconds left in his team's season-ending playoff loss to the Boston Celtics, the National Basketball Association confirmed Thursday.

In the season-ending Game 5 loss to the Boston Celtics on Wednesday, Joel Embiid had 27 points and 12 rebounds for the Sixers.

Joel Embiid played in 63 games and averaged 22.9 points and 11 rebounds; Ben Simmons 81 games and 15.8 points, 8.2 assists and 8.1 rebounds; and Dario Saric 78 games and 14.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.6 assists during the regular season. "I was thinking about it, just looking at [Kevin Durant] and [Russell] Westbrook, what they did the first season together, I think they won 28 games".

Fultz said it hasn't been discussed if he'll play summer league. And that sincerity, that genuine team spirit, that day-to-day celebration of one player for another explains as much as anything why the Sixers are two rounds into the playoffs and on a one-game winning streak. The same magician spent a night with the Sixers during a road trip last season. But you know, adding new free agents can definitely help and there's a lot of them out there that we can add that are going to help the team.

As far as Game 5, Rozier said, "I feel like we just have to come out, be aggressive and try to make them quit".

That's how Marco Belinelli signed off in his final press conference of the season Thursday.

Fitting, in a way, that the most important handful of seconds in the Celtics' postseason run, which will move next to a conference final series against Cleveland, came down to Baynes, the bearded 31-year-old journeyman New Zealander who managed, over the course of this series, to keep Embiid relatively under wraps. You've got to be able to bounce back from a good game, you've got to be able to bounce back now from a game where we got beat, those types of things.

According to Yahoo Sports' Ben Rohrbach, several Celtics players were ticked off that Embiid didn't shake their hands or pay respect after the game, especially considering all of his trash talk.

For the third time in the past four games, Philly failed to make the necessary plays down the stretch to close out a victory.

This provided the 76ers with a chance to win with a desperation 3-pointer. We're going to be fine.

When Simmons was on the court in the series, Boston outscored Philadelphia by 63 points.

"I'm just learning. This is just the start for me", Simmons said when asked about his inconsistent play.

"He's taken the challenge defensively - being our rim protector every night and I'm just so happy for him to see him have success at this level".
