West Ham will be happy to take a point in this game whereas United will see this one as a chance missed to improve after their uninspiring 1-0 defeat at the weekend to Brighton.

A Manchester United side lacking the finishing touch managed to secure a 0-0 draw at West Ham United, secured second place in the Premier League with one game left in the season.

Pogba's frustration then spilled over when he was lucky to escape with just a yellow card after grappling with West Ham captain Mark Noble as tempers flared in the latter stages.

United goalkeeper David de Gea, meanwhile, was untested as he ensured he will collect the Premier League's Golden Glove for the first time by recording his 18th shutout of the season.

However, they will both start against Watford at Old Trafford on Sunday, according to the United manager, with places still up for grabs ahead of the FA Cup final with Chelsea.

"Even the ones who probably play the final, to rest for a couple of weeks is probably not the best preparation for that".

Speaking after the encounter, United boss, Jose Mourinho celebrated his team's performance in the league this season, saying that the goal at some point was to finish second - and they have achieved it.

Mourinho deployed his side in a 3-5-2 formation with a surprise pairing of Alexis Sanchez and Jesse Lingard starting up front for the visitors.

"We are the second best team in the Premier League, a fantastic competition with lots of good teams with six teams trying to finish first. Today was for Alexis and Lingard and Sunday is a game for Martial and Rashford". We don't celebrate second positions but we are happy because for a few months, we realised it was impossible to win the league and, of course, the target is the second position. "The attitude of the players was terrific".

"The last two games we have got two good clean sheets". It has been a tough job but a really good job.

"Sometimes when you get safe you can slip away from it but the players were at it all night and stuck to it to get a thoroughly deserved point".
