Boney and daughters are in Delhi to receive Best Actress Award which was bestowed upon Sridevi in recently announced 65th National Film Awards.

To mark the special day, Janhvi Kapoor chose to wear her mother's saree to the awards ceremony. The late actor died in February this year by accidental drowning in a Dubai hotel. He came along with daughters Janhvi and Khushi to accept late wife Sridevi's "Best Actress Award" for "Mom". "It's a very proud moment at the same time". She always gave her best for all her films. And yesterday, Janhvi paid another lovely tribute to her mom. We wish she was here with us.

Sridevi's family, Boney, Janhvi and Khushi went to receive the award and Boney shared that it is a proud moment to all of them. "She would have been happy, very happy being here. Aur kya bolu? (What else do I say?)". However, there were some disputes regarding her work and the award, but her fans welcomed the tribute with full gusto and enthusiasm.

Filmmaker Boney Kapoor broke down in public while talking about legendary Sridevi ahead of the National Awards function.

"I would only ask them to be as dedicated as focused as honest, as hardworking as her", he said. This is the highest honour. The President remembered the film of both the veterans and said,"We miss them today and we will miss them forever". "An artist always looks for an honourable honour and there can not be a bigger honour than National Awards", Boney Kapoor told DD News. "She won many awards but this tops the list".

Mr Kovind said that the government had taken various initiatives to promote India as a global filmmaking hub.

Janhvi is preparing for her film Dhadak opposite Ishan Khattar and the film is remake of Marathi movie Sairat. In fact, this was her mother's saree that she made a decision to drape for the ceremony, as revealed by designer Manish Malhotra.
